EXPLORING CABANYAL BY BIKE... • 24/7 Valencia

##One day, my friend and I decided to rent bikes and ride to the Cabanyal barrio. We didn’t really have a set plan, but we wanted to have a spontaneous day of visiting cafés and the beach. Our first stop was ‘Churrería Heladería Los Olivares’, an indoor/outdoor restaurant that has croissants, juices, coffee and more. I decided to try the iced coffee and it was interesting, but so good! I say interesting because I am used to standard iced coffee and this was completely different, it was almost like a coffee smoothie. But hey, different doesn’t always mean bad. It was so refreshing and their croissants were ginormous and delicious.

Next up we visited the ‘Mercat Municipal del Cabanyal’. Inside there were fresh meats, fish, fruits, pastries and more. We walked out with a pound of grapes for 1€.

And finally, after exploring the barrio, we were hungry for some tapas. We found the perfect place: ‘Bar La Paca’ located on Calle del Rosario. On the outside, this tapas bar’s walls are detailed with ocean creatures like an octopus, fish and crabs. You walk in and are greeted with an assortment of random things, like obscure pictures lining the walls. It is such an out-there concept, but that makes visiting really fun. We ordered two tapas: avocado tortilla patata and patatas bravas and they were to die for.

Such a fun day and great way to adventure and eat our way through Cabanyal, Valencia.
