Festival 10 Sentidos and the Institut Valencià de la Joventut – Carnet Jove have organised another cycle of the Young Spectator’s Club: a group of young people aged 14 – 30 who are interested in Valencia’s Living Arts, who will take part in various cultural activities during the festival.Festival 10 Sentidos commits to exploring new ways of communicating art and creating a space that allows room for artists, society and individuals to fuse. It creates a dialogue between artists, the public, the spectator, associations, schools, students and training spaces as a showcase for the living arts in Valencia. ‘10 Sentidos’ translates to ‘10 Senses’, and encapsulates a festival that uses Living Arts to portray issues concerning the local community and to ‘highlight the power of art as a catalyst for social action’.

Between May 4 and May 21, the group of young people selected will take part in a range of activities, including attending shows, rehearsals, workshops, and meetings with different artists and professionals in the live arts sector. They will be accompanied by cultural management professionals who they will share experiences with from the stalls, backstage or as spectators. The aim is to provide the younger generation with a multi-faceted experience of cultural events in Valencia, from the perspective of the audience and the perspective of management. 50 participants will be selected to take part in the immersive experience.

The initiative has already been successfully carried out in previous years, and will follow with one final edition in 2023. Following the festival, the participants will review each activity and publish these via the festival’s social channels and networks. These young people will be the eyes of the festival that permeates the art and performance world of Valencia.
