FOUR MUSICAL IMMERSIONS OF ‘LA BATISFERA’ IN NOVEMBER

‘La Batisfera’ in El Cabanyal in Valencia proudly announces the commencement of its fifth live music initiative cycle in November 2023. Since its launch in May 2022, this series of intimate concerts, each accommodating a limited audience of 60 seated guests, has garnered acclaim from both musicians and attendees. Artists like Luis Prado, Aliya Cycon, Burguitos, and more have graced the La Batisfera stage, delivering over a dozen memorable performances.

Every Friday in November, La Batisfera welcomes live music enthusiasts to enjoy the sounds of Valencia’s vibrant music scene. These cosy concerts, accompanied by the venue’s renowned hospitality, offer a unique experience. The November lineup promises a musical journey transcending borders, starting with a captivating Anglo-French performance by the Sycamore Sisters and Anne at All. Their international tour takes the audience on a Mississippi-inspired voyage, blending original compositions with interpretations of classic blues and jazz tunes.

The following Friday, the 10th of November, Highlife Music Ghana presents African rhythms, jazz, and soul which so rarely visit our city. Singing in various African languages (English, Ga, Ashanti, Ewe or Fante), the band creates a rhythmic, danceable experience.

On the third Friday, La Batisfera transports you to Cuba with Modo Libre, a project known for its fusion of traditional Cuban music with jazz and classical influences. All music is original or arranged specifically for the project.

The voyage concludes on the 24th of November with the acclaimed Peruvian duo Alejandro y María Laura, who have shared stages with Latin American luminaries. Since 2011 they have released four albums, an EP, two compilation albums and thirteen singles and have given concerts on big stages such as the Gran Teatro Nacional (Lima, Peru), at festivals such as Estéreo Picnic (Bogotá, Colombia) and Hollywood Forever (Los Angeles, California). Most recently they have released their fourth album, “Madre Padre Marte.”

La Batisfera continues to be a hub for cultural exchange, showcasing talented musicians from diverse backgrounds, and offering an enriching and memorable experience. Join this November, and let yourself be taken on a journey from France to Cuba, passing through Ghana and ending in Peru!
