4th -10th May will see the inaugural South Europe International Film Festival held in Valencia take place.
One of four European Film Festivals hosted by Fusion International Film Festivals, the event will welcome filmmakers and creatives from all around the world. The festivals are labelled as a boutique set of events and the core focus is to bring together creative minds and encourage the development of independent film around the world.
The event will all take place at the Melia Valencia Hotel…whilst networking events will be exclusive to filmmakers along with the awards night that will be the climax to the week. All screenings and panels are FREE and open to anyone that may wish to attend.
Screenings will begin across three screening rooms at the venue from 11:00am on Sunday 5th and run daily until Friday 10th May. There will be the opportunity to participate in Q&A’s with attending filmmakers and other members of the cast and crew. This is a great way to find out more about the processes and trials and tribulations of being an independent filmmaker along with delving deep into conversation about subject matters explored.
The catalogue of films screened will range from; short films, features, foreign language and documentary. We are an English speaking festival and all films will have subtitles in English.
Fusion International Film Festivals is where Creative Minds Meet and filmmakers of today are able to encourage and develop filmmakers of tomorrow.
Festival Co-Director Dan Hickford said “It is great seeing filmmakers from all around the world attend, many have worked so hard trying to carve out a career in such a tough industry. Seeing them so effortlessly connect with others and chat over breakfast, lunch or dinner then support each other’s screenings offering invaluable advice is so rewarding to see.”
