LEGENDARY PIANIST ‘BORIS GILTBURG’ PLAYS BEETHOVEN AT PALAU DE LES ARTS OF VALENCIA (APRIL 24th)

##On Saturday 24th April you have an appointment with some of the best of Beethoven’s work. The magnificent Russian pianist Boris Giltburg returns to perform with the Orquestra de València, conducted by Ramón Tebar, the “Concert No. 3 for piano and orchestra” by the German genius. Giltburg is considered to be one of the great Beethoven specialists and has just recorded his 32 piano sonatas for the main digital platforms, and has also appeared in the BBC television series “Being Beethoven”. In addition, you can also listen to one of his most popular symphonies (No.3), “Heroica” (in Spanish) and also widely known as ‘Eroica.’

Boris Giltburg: “Beethoven, in his core, is a composer of light, his music uplifting and life-affirming. But in a few works he addressed the darkness with a mastery just as absolute, giving us within the sonata cycle the Pathétique, Moonlight, and perhaps most vivid of all, the Appassionata…”
