About the Callosa d’en Sarrià loquat tree
Originally from China and Japan, the loquat tree has found the best acclimatisation in the Mediterranean basin due to its mild climate, specifically in the area of Callosa d’en Sarrià and Altea, in the region of the Marina Baixa. Qualified as ‘the fruit of beauty’ by its richness in carotenoids that help to care for the skin, the loquat is highly recommended for sportsmen and women or people with muscular problems due to its potassium content. It also contains fibre and mucilages which, acting as prebiotics, help to balance the intestinal flora. Its peculiar and exotic sweet flavour with acid touches make the Callosa d’en Sarrià loquat a unique and unmistakable fruit
About ‘2 Estaciones’
In the heart of the Ruzafa district we find 2 Estaciones, a restaurant with a changing cuisine based on seasonal produce and proximity. At the helm are the chefs Alberto Alonso and Mar Soler, with very different origins and characters, but with a common philosophy: their ideology is based on dynamism, craftsmanship and a commitment to the environment. Their conscious cuisine transforms with each season, without losing sight of the goal: to explore and have fun. Mediterranean cuisine and seasonal, always with updated dishes and the option of menus. Alberto Alonso, a local from Burgos with a calm and creative character, has a passion for casseroles. His first culinary steps were in Donosti. Then El Bohío and Ricard Camarena, so he has a very solid career. The biggest change in her life was setting up her own restaurant. Mar Soler is enthusiastic and restless. She longs for any homemade dish, like her mother’s baked rice. Although her great passion is gastronomy, she lives very close to her roots, the family garden and the animals.
