The Music Festival returns to Cabanyal this June 2022!
The ‘Mar i Jazz’ Festival will be back in the seaside neighbourhood of Cabanyal in Valencia on June 10, 11, and 12 in Parque Dr. Lluch where the stage will be set up. The festival is due to provide the audience with the best quality jazz, a gastronomical area, children’s area and a craft’s market.
The Mar i Jazz Festival was created in 2016 by local music lovers and businessmen who own restaurants and music venues in Cabanyal, such as Mestiza bar or La Otra Parte tavern, and ever since then it has been a place to celebrate Valencian and national jazz. The event also showcases young talents and aspiring artists through its collaboration with the most renowned jazz schools in Valencia, Sedajazz.
On Friday June 10, the stage in Dr. Lluch will welcome RdeRumba one of the greatest funk musicians in Spain as well as Porcel ‘Funk Experience Live’, who play a tribute to Afro-American music.
Saturday June 11 will be a day of dancing and partying with the Balkan Paradise Orchestra, The Sey Sisters, and Ariel Mínguez, and many more. Then, the closing day of the festival, Sunday June 12 we will see Jove Big Band Sedajazz, Glenda del E & “Q-ban Mixology”, and Babalu Swing Band!
The festival has always been defined by its commitment to involve the residents of Cabanyal to generate community and respect for the multiculturalism of the neighborhood. For this reason, they carry out recreational and educational activities that invite awareness, value and protection of the environment . Such as this Saturday, April 9, the festival collaborates with Bioagradables by organizing a beach clean-up day. The initiative will begin at 10 am on the beach of Las Arenas.
Since the start the festival continues a close collaboration with ACIPMAR (Association of Traders and Maritime Professionals), the Valencia City Council and the Sedajazz School. In the 4th edition, the team increases with the union of Sagarmanta, a company based in Paterna with more than 20 years of experience in the management and organisation of events. And, for another year, it has the support of Cervezas Alhambra, which collaborates with the festival inviting you to experience the best the music industry has to offer.
