Nomada, an Italian fine dining restaurant located in the Marina El Portet of Dénia, brands itself as the ‘essence of Mediterranean living.’ Recognised by the Repsol Guide for its unbeatable location, attentive and professional service, and the honesty and coherence of its cuisine, Nomada is a gastronomic experience not to be missed and has just launched its new seasonal menu.
An original concept of ‘haute Italian home cooking,’ chef Massimo Arienti has created a menu which respects the traditional Italian recipes whilst simultaneously using avant-garde gastronomic techniques. The Italian menu incorporates fresh local produce from the marina of Dénia, combining Italian tradition with local Mediterranean flavours. “I believe in buying local, in respecting the seasons and in supporting the small producer as an inspiration to elaborate my own version of Italian gastronomy,” states Arienti.
As a tasty precursor to the main course, Arienti has perfected the antipasti. Diners can taste delicious caprese with fresh tomato and burrata, delicate handmade Italian cured meats, an innovative interpretation of the classic Vitello Tonnato, or traditional Sicilian dish aubergine caponata. The main courses oscillate between traditional and innovative. Classic Italian pasta dishes such as pasta al pomodoro, calamarata pasta with seafood, tagliolini with truffle or cacio e pepe are available, as well as a plethora of traditional and unique gourmet pizzas, handmade in the restaurant with homemade sourdough and San Marzano sauce. However, the menu also boasts more daring dishes such as the free-range chicken in orange sauce with potatoes and pickles, or the lemon risotto with sweetbreads. For desserts, indulge in tiramisu, chocolate millefoglie, meringue with lemon sorbet or Nomad’s Twixx; a flavour explosion of chocolate, caramel and almond.
Nomada also offers an exploration beyond the restaurant with their luxury boat hire service. Whether it’s a relaxing lunch with friends, a day of sailing or a romantic sunset date, Nomada has a collection of boats available to hire out and explore the Cabo de San Antonio Marine Nature Reserve. Nomada offers gourmet picnic packages to enjoy whilst cruising around the idyllic beaches and coves, including: Burattini with a truffle base, caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella and Valencian tomatoes, Italian cured cheese and mortadella, tagliata of veal marinated in oranges, fine herbs and grand marnier sauce as well as a selection of cheeses, homemade sourdough bread, grissini and irresistible Italian desserts.
Nomada invites you to ‘celebrate life in the purest Mediterranean style this summer,’ on its exclusive terrace with unique panoramic views of the marina. This summer, the terrace will host live DJ sets every Friday from 5pm until 9pm, making it the perfect environment to enjoy the Dénia sunset.
