Through this work, the dancer reflects on the aesthetics of Flamenco and how it influences the perception of flamenco art both by the public and by the artist herself.
With an important career that makes her stand out at the highest level in the world of dance, the young dancer has a great technique and an innate taste for flamenco. She began dance studies when she was only five years old and graduated with a specialty in Spanish Dance at the Valencia Professional Dance Conservatory.
Irene has training in different areas such as Stylized Dance, Classical Ballet and Folklore. After graduating from the Conservatory, she has continued to train with great teachers such as Antonio Canales, Farruquito and Rubén Olmo. She received a scholarship on different occasions from the Deobulè Dance Association and has collaborated with the ‘Ballet of the Generalitat’ in the performance of the opera ‘Carmen’ at the ‘Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía’ with choreography by Ramón Oller.
She currently combines her classes and her performances at a national and international level with a specialisation in Dance Pedagogy, which she carries out at the Superior Dance Conservatory of Valencia. Since graduating from the Professional Conservatory, she has dedicated much of her time to teaching, both children and adults. Thus, with more than 7 years of experience, she declares herself passionate about teaching. Additionally, she is part of the ‘Oscar de Manuel’ flamenco company in the performance of the play ‘Bailando con Carmen’ with choreography by the prestigious Jesús Carmona. She is currently a solo dancer at the ‘Tablao Flamenco La Bulería’, a member of the ‘Marea Danza’ company, the ‘Mediterranean Guitar’ platform and the innovative ‘MUNAY’ duo.
