On the morning of May 5th, 2024, Valencia’s Avinguda Maestro Rodrigo came alive with the energy of 8,027 participants for the 11th edition of the València Corporate Race (Carrera de Empresas València – CEV), marking a historic turnout that exceeded all previous records. The 5k race kicked off at 09:00h, with the 10k following, concluding at 10:00h.
Its original presentation took place on April 23, at the second Runnker Sports and Business Day (Jornada Runnker Esport i Empresa). This year’s race brought several notable features such as the Memorial Remigio Silvestre tribute, new sustainable initiatives like using 100% recycled race shirts and carbon offset projects, and a strong solidarity component with at least 1€ per runner donated to the Rehoboth project by Natania Association, aiding Valencia’s homeless people.
The race continued to promote cultural appreciation with the use of the Valencian language in its communications, emphasizing its commitment to cultural visibility and normalization. Additionally, both the 5k and 10k courses were certified by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation, with modifications due to ongoing construction affecting the 10k route.
The event was also covered live by Nostresport’s daily broadcast, available for viewing on their YouTube channel, providing fans and participants a chance to relive the excitement of the day.
Promoted by Grupo Nostresport since 2011 and returning robustly after a pandemic hiatus, the València Corporate Race is much more than just a race: it’s a testament to the resilience and community spirit of València.
