Led by renowned jazz guitarist & singer Mike Mckoy, this special concert is a happy encounter between jazz swing and Brazilian samba in the intimate venue of ‘Café Mercedes Jazz’ in the hip barrio of Ruzafa. ‘REMEMBERING GETZ/GILBERTO’ pays tribute to the musical collaboration between the American tenor saxophonist Stan Getz and the Brazilian guitarist and singer João Gilberto, whose iconic album “Getz/Gilberto” (Garôta de Ipanema, Desafinado, Corcovado) turned a local and minority style into a musical phenomenon all over the world.
