##Zoé, the most important Mexican band in the Latin American country's alternative scene, begins its tour of Spain with a concert in Sala Moon in Valencia, on Thursday, May 23 at 9:00 p.m.

The group presents its sixth studio album entitled "Aztlán", inspired by the sacred place of the the Aztecs. The LP is composed of 12 songs, written by Leon Larregui, under the production of Craig Silvey (Arcade Fire, Kasabian, Florence & The Machine ...), Phil Vinall (Placebo, Pulp ...) and the Zoé themselves.

The song Aztlán, which gives title to the album, is the song that points directly to the historical and foundational background of Mexico and its relation to the current social and political situation that plagues the country while the devastating pop of themes such as Ice and Blue, refers to love and heartbreak, which inhabits most of this record.

In this solid record, of which we already had a small advance in the concert they offered at the July Fair last year in Jardines de Viveros, that fusion between the philosophical lyrics of Larregui - full of cosmic allegories - and their preferences for the use of pop, electronics and synthesizers.

"Aztlán" is undoubtedly a worthy successor to the previous "Prográmaton", published in 2014, since it gets a refreshing album without losing its own stamp. The LP, which emerges after four years of silence by Zoé, is a risky bet, from which it has emerged triumphant thanks to the fact that it has managed to bring Anglo-Saxon indie-pop to its field by stacking a discourse of its own that identifies them and turns them into one of the most representative alternative bands of Latin American music.

Counting on the favor of the critics and the public, the record has received a gold certificate for its sales and 11 of the songs that make up the LP were in Spotify's top 200, being the first time that a Mexican band has achieved this record.

Also, the album was nominated for "Best Latin, Urban or Alternative Rock Album" at the 2018 Grammys, which were held in February in Los Angeles.

And it is that with more than 20 years of career, millions of albums sold, multiple nominations and two Latin Grammy awards, Zoé is considered the most important Latin rock band of today.
