THE ROTARY CLUB FROM VALENCIA ACKNOWLEDGE THE AID WORK DONE BY SESDERMA

The aid work done by Sesderma has been acknowledged by the Rotary Club Valencia Centro members with the annual award given to the business that stand out in favour of the community, alongside with Vicky Food and the Soñar Despierto foundation. Dr. Serrano was represented in the event by her daughter Pilar, who explained the commitment of the founder and president of Sesderma with the disadvantaged people and explained some of the aid work Sesderma has done. “This award means a lot to us – explained Dr. Gabriel during his speech in the awards ceremony dinner – given that helping each other is in our company’s DNA. Solidarity, a will to work towards making life better for the needed or the drive to create initiatives that help move forward people who does not have the means to, are some of the values that I learnt from my father, who was a great doctor and an amazing person. I have tried to keep these values during my life and to impregnate them in the actions our company does…”

In addition to the Sesderma Bali Foundation, who in recent years has been collaborating with humble families from Indonesia by giving them  jobs that helps them live a decent life, Dr. Gabriel Serrano Foundation, in Dominican Republic, has just started their aid work. This is a nonprofit organisation with the objectives such as collaborating in the improvement of the health of the Dominican families without resources, as well as the education of vulnerable children and youth. The organization is not only focused in families without resources: in Mexico, they work hand to hand with Carmen Sánchez Association in their fight to improve the quality of life and the self-esteem of the women that have been victims of sexist violence with acid by their boyfriends or ex boyfriends. Alongside Dr. Isela Méndez, one of the most prestige dermatologist in the country, they provide high-quality treatments for their scars to improve their skin for free.
