The iconic Semana del Desayuno Valenciano is back, running from December 9 to 13, and for the first time, it embraces the entire Valenciana community. This initiative, spearheaded by CONHOSTUR in collaboration with Turisme Comunitat Valenciana and the IGP Cítricos Valencianos, celebrates the region’s emblematic Navelina oranges, a heritage of local agriculture and culture.
Over 80 establishments—41 in Valencia, 30 in Alicante, and 19 in Castellón—will serve up traditional Valencian breakfasts with a twist: a complimentary glass of freshly squeezed ‘Navelina’ orange juice, certified by IGP standards. This initiative isn’t just about savouring a classic esmorzar brunch. It’s also a poignant act of solidarity with those affected by the DANA disaster. Special deliveries of 3,600 bottles of orange juice, donated by Zuvamesa, are planned for December 9 and 10… bringing a moment of respite to the hardest-hit communities.
The campaign launch at Castellón’s Ajuntament highlighted the unyielding spirit of Valencians. “The Orange isn’t just a fruit; it’s a symbol of resilience and pride,” noted Israel Martínez Fernández, director of tourism for the Comunitat Valenciana.
Under the slogan “Together, we rise stronger”, the campaign invites locals and visitors to not only savour certified Valencian produce but also support regional farmers and honor the enduring senyera spirit. This isn’t just breakfast—it’s a celebration of unity, heritage, and “la terreta”.
