The Liquorice Experiment exists through a lysergic lens, within that garage-psych universe full of trembling guitars and dark, reverb-soaked riffs. Their lyrics offer an introspective view, dealing with the dilemmas of today’s society, and are delivered in a raw and ironic way while wrapped in a melancholic atmosphere. They were born in London in 2016, driven by the neo-psychedelic wave and a passion for 60s fashion and music. After several independent singles, they released their debut, How Many Lies (2023), which they presented in Spain and the UK. In 2026 the group reformed as a quartet, with Bruno (guitar/vocals), Brian (bass), Carlos (drums) and Florencio (guitar/organ), and embarked on a more experimental path. The result is Million Faces, an eight-song LP recorded at Estudios Circo Perrotti in Gijón, produced by Jorge Muñoz Cobo (Doctor Explosión) and released this May on Desdemona Records (Mushroom Pillow).
Some tracks pick up the thread of the debut, while others flirt with more contemporary psychedelia. According to the producer himself, at times they recall Electric Prunes, Music Machine or the more psychedelic Yardbirds.
Golden Peluco will open the night, a project born in Valencia whose members are stitched together from the remnants of previous projects such as Amatria, Jackson Milicia, Mr. Perfumme and Gilbertástico.
The Valencian trio has arrived on the scene without any pretension, with the sole mission of sharing their madness and going all out through rock with exuberant, marked rhythms, eloquent vocals and histrionic laughter.
The night will be completed with a live visuals show by Favsto, who will project liquid and digital art during The Liquorice Experiment’s set, and a DJ session by LST Psych Club, a newly formed collective in Valencia that organizes parties with psychedelic sounds from yesterday and today.
