Catch T.A.P at the ‘Marino Jazz Club’ in Cabanyal on February 2nd!

The Jazz and soul trio known as T.A.P are playing at the Marino Jazz Club on February 2nd at 20h in Cabanyal, Valencia. T.A.P is a 2022 project with Sergio Albentosa on organ, Tico Porcar on drums and Simon Mark Taylor on baritone saxophone. Taylor, Albentosa and Porcar (T.A.P) experiment with 1960s sounds, boogaloo rhythms and play both original compositions and covers of classics.

Saxophonist from Manchester and currently based in Valencia, Simon Mark Taylor has worked extensively throughout Europe. Recently, he toured with Armando Manzanero, a Multi Grammy Award Winner. Taylor has also performed with artists such as Rick Astely, Soraya Arnelas as well as Spanish saxophonist Enric Piedro and New York guitarist Glen Crytzer. For Taylor, “Jazz is about interacting with musicians and listeners in the moment”, creating spontaneous and meaningful sounds whilst also having fun. His artistic talents go beyond music. While he originally began taking photos and videos as a hobby, his photography has become increasingly more serious.

Sergio Albentosa on organ has played with renowned black music legends such as JJ Barnes, Betty Harris, Jim Payne, Randy Greer, and Jeff Jerolamon. He has also collaborated, played, and recorded with musicians of the likes of: Raimundo Amador, Ximo Tebar, Enric Peidro, Joan Soler, Felipe Cucciardi, Ramon Cardo, Francisco Blanco latino and Miquel Casany. He enjoys mixing soul-jazz, jazzdance, samba-soul, latinjazz and boogaloo to create jazzy sounds from the 60s.

Born in Castellon, Tico Porcar is currently living in Valencia where he plays with jazz musicians such as Ramón Cardo, Albert Sanz, Bill McHenry, Perico Sambeat, Vicent Macian, Joan Soler or Leo Minax among many others. He is also part of a trio called Nodesis with Perico Sambeat and Ivan Cebrian. Porcar has performed all over Spain and South America with various groups and formats.
