On Monday 6th of November at ‘Mi Cub’ in ‘Mercado de Colón’ the ‘Hispano Suizas’ winery presented their new 2021 vintages of Tantum Ergo Pinot Noir Rose and Tantum Ergo Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. These cavas will be featured on their menu with the recommendation to pair them with three exceptional cheeses from Charcuterías Manglano, starting from November 11.
From 10.30 AM, the attendees had an incredible opportunity to savour a variety of brilliant cheeses such as ivory and crumbly ‘Abondance’ cheese, soft and creamy Les Saloirs de Louis, nutty Tomme Aux Fleurs coated with flower petals, and finally the most intense but at the same time the most creamy blue Savel.
Hispano Suizas’ winemaker and founder, Pablo Ossorio, and José Manuel Manglano presented the cheeses and cavas and explained what stands behind their unique tastes. You could really see the passion these people have for their craft and be certain that the selected pairings will leave everybody impressed. After the introductory part, the guests were asked to select which pairings worked the most harmoniously. It was not the easiest task, as the rich and tangy cheeses turned out to be a good match with both of the perfectly balanced cavas. This is what ‘Mi Cub’ does the best, offering the guests of ‘Mercado de Colón’ a chance to treat themselves to products from the market in their delicious and ever-growing selection.
The event was a great way to officially expand its offerings to perfectly complement the award-winning cavas from Hispano Suizas with Manglano cheeses. The selected cheeses made from raw cow’s milk that will be on the menu to pair with the wines are Abondance, Les Saloirs de Louis, and Tomme Aux Fleurs. You cannot miss the opportunity to sample them and personally determine the ultimate pairing.
