##24/7 VALENCIA:1. Could you tell readers about your experience concerning real estate in Valencia?

ENGEL & VÖLKERS VALENCIA: Luís Martínez, team leader of Rentals department at Engel &Völkers Valencia:
Since 2013, I have been working in the real estate sector in the city of Valencia, especially in the rental market. It was in 2015 when I joined the Engel & Völkers Valencia project as a consultant and in 2017 I went on to lead the rental division. From 2017 to today, both the Engel & Völkers Valencia rental division as well as the rental market itself, have not stopped growing: we currently have a team of more than 40 real estate consultants. Besides, we have a short-term rentals division and more than 100 properties focused on this type of rental.

More than 500 properties in the portfolio focused on long-term rental, more than 550 brokerage operations per year.

2. What are currently the most popular barrios in the city of Valencia for buyers? What about towns near the capital?

Valencia is a city with an ideal size to live in, everything is relatively close and we are extremely lucky to have a fabulous beach in the same city a few minutes from the city centre. Thanks to the climate and the sun that accompanies us all year round, we can always enjoy the beach; the river Turia’s old bed is the lung of Valencia and a great attraction for all lovers of sports and green areas; the historic centre full of history never goes out of style; the Ensanche, the most fashionable neighbourhood for its leisure and hostelry offer, is also a safe bet.

The surroundings of the city are the choice of those looking for tranquility and single-family houses near the city; from which we can outline: La Cañada, Torre en Conill, Santa Bárbara and Campolivar or the exclusive urbanization of Los Monasterios.

3. Do you offer services for short stays?

4. Valencia was recently voted “best city in the world to live in by expats”. Have you noticed an increase in people interested in buying property in Valencia?

Every year, there are many expats who choose our city to live for its quality of life, the climate or the gastronomy. Unfortunately, the very atypical situation that we are living with the pandemic has meant that we cannot move freely and that those expected expats in 2020 couldn’t make it this year. But I am sure that as soon as we get to “a new normal”, we will receive a large number of expats eager to enjoy our fantastic city.
