ENJOYING FOOD AND DRINK AT ‘MI CUB’ AT ‘MERCADO DE COLÓN’ (VALENCIA)

#Watch out, there’s a new sandwich on the block!! Head to ‘Mi Cub’ café located on the first floor of Mercado de Colon for a taste of this new lunchtime delicacy. Perfect with a cold glass of beer, it is the perfect midday treat. The incredibly tender meat in the sandwich is made up of Valencian sausage. The meat is made from 30% black and 70% white sausage giving it a strong taste. The 30% black sausage means the flavours don’t overpower the classic meaty taste of the white sausage but provide a unique flavour. Alongside the sausage, the sandwich includes small onions that have been cooked in vinegar providing a sharpness with every bite. Accompanying all of the above is a rich and tangy mayonnaise made up of boiled soya beans and mayo; it is the perfect sauce to tie the flavours of the sandwich together. All the ingredients in this sandwich are locally produced and sourced from Valencia… even the bread, which is sourced from a local bakery. The bread is usually in a baguette shape. However, the creator of this sandwich highlighted a more bun like shape would suit the flavours more, leading to the gorgeous soft bead that coats the sandwich. You can be sure you’re getting a true traditional Valencian meal… so it is a ‘must try’ during your visit.

Don’t worry, we won’t be leaving you hungry for long… this tasty new sandwich will be available on their menu from Friday the 17th December!
