The Route Via Verde de Villalonga is a beautiful route adapted for hiking and cycling on the so-called Tren dels Anglesos, the old railway line from Alcoy to Gandia that was launched on January 24, 1893… with the first trip of Gandia to the city of Alcoy.

This railway route, with all its stops in operation, was in service until April 15, 1969. Its decline was due to the disuse of coal and the rise of passenger cars like the ‘Seat 600’.

The route is simple and linear and you can do without your mobile phone and enjoy the area (for most of it you will not have coverage, a real joy).

Meeting point is Mestalla stadium at 08.45h on Sunday, May 2nd.
