HORN CONGRESS IN GUADASSUAR (VALENCIA REGION) FROM DECEMBER 28 -30

Guadassuar (Valencia) prepares to experience the II Horn Congress from December 28 to 30, 2022. ‘La Trompa’  in Spanish is known as the “French Horn” in English. It will bring together more than a hundred participants related to this legendary brass instrument. The event offers, for the second consecutive year, the possibility of enjoying master classes, concerts, workshops and exhibitions concerning the Horn.This year includes the most prestigious presence of Radegundis Tavares, President of the International Horn Society along with the horn teacher Jennifer Montone of the Juilliard School of Music in New York, which is a benchmark worldwide for any musician.

The cast of teachers includes some of the most prominent interpreters and teachers from the international scene, such as Timothy Jones (England), solo horn of the London Symphony Orchestra and  horn teacher at the Royal College of Music; Jennifer Montone ( United States ), solo horn of The Philadelphia Orchestra and teacher of the French horn of The Juilliard School of Music in New York; Radegundis Tavares ( Brazil ), President of the International Horn Society and Professor of the University Federal de Rio Grande do Norte; Lene Skomedal ( Sweden ), freelance horn player  and teacher of Yoga; Loris Antiga ( Italy ), French  horn player of the Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice; Maxime Tomba ( France ), horn of the L’Orchestre de Chambre de Genève  and Christian Morabito ( Argentina ), member of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bayres Horns quartet.

In addition, the congress also has the most prominent horn players in the region like María Rubio, solo horn of the Valencia Orchestra; Manolo Pérez,  horn with the ‘Spanish Brass’ quintet; Inés González, solo horn player for the Symphony Orchestra of Tenerife; Javier Bonet, horn player of the National Orchestra of Spain; Miguel Martínez, professor at the Professional Conservatory of Music “ Mariano Pérez Sánchez ” de Requena; Anna Sanz, horn teacher at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Tortosa; and Elisa Andreu,  teacher at the Professional Conservatory “ Francesc Peñarroja” de La Vall d’Uixó.
