LIVE MUSIC IN VALENCIA ….Javier Botella & Albert Sanz @ ‘Teatro Olympia’ (June 15th)

##A tribute in the form of a concert on Tuesday June 15 at ‘Teatro Olympia’ to the great masters George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Kurt Weill.

‘It was never you’ is the title of the new joint work of Valencian artists to claim that the music of the early twentieth century is more alive than ever.

The Valencian musicians, Javier Botella and Albert Sanz, travel to the early twentieth century on June 15 at 8:00 pm from the heart of the Teatro Olympia in Valencia with a concert that pays tribute to the great masters George Gershwin, Cole Porter and Kurt Weill, great references of American music and jazz standards.

The theatre stage on C/ San Vicente (Valencia) will be filled with the spirit and magic of the golden age of Broadway with songs like ‘They Can’t Take That Away from Me’, ‘Love Is Here to Stay’, ‘Summertime’ or ‘It Never Was You’, the song that also gives the title to this album… composed of 12 songs and that is the beginning of a national tour for the duo.

“We had to start the presentation at home because this is where this precious project was born. Jazz is lived from one’s veins and this album summarizes everything we felt when we found the original melody of the Broadway musical theater that gave rise to a characteristic style that has been a great influence for us,” says Javier Botella.

The Valencian crooner combines his velvety and mature voice with that of the young Albert Sanz, who also plays the piano: “It has been a very nice process and we have found the key point in each song. The mutual trust and the great support of the fans has led us to finally make it a reality,” says Sanz.

“A music that seems old but actually speaks of things as universal as current and with this repertoire I think we make a heartfelt tribute to the great masters, but also to our own audience, without which it would not be possible to relive the music on stage,” concludes Botella.

This concert at the ‘Teatro Olympia’ of Valencia is the beginning of a national tour, soon will be confirmed the specific dates in Madrid and Barcelona, as well as the cities where you can travel to a golden age for the music of the hand of Albert Sanz and Javier Botella.
