Loco Club is a lively music venue located near Àngel Guimerà metro station. Visitors can enjoy an array of live performances, food and drink at an affordable price. Weekend performances are often followed by DJs to ensure that you don’t have to leave the party just as you’re getting warmed up. They host both local and international talent and there are a variety of performances to enjoy.
Monday 24th October sees four-piece rock band ‘Komodor’ take the stage. Raised on the music of Iggy Pop and MC5, the French band bring a vibrant energy to the stage. They released their first album ‘Nasty Habits’ in December of 2021 and have been touring these new songs in Spain since the 19th of October.
On Tuesday 25th October, ‘Death Bells’, an ambitious six-piece band led by founders Will Canning and Remy Veselis, are set to perform. They are originally from Sydney but relocated to the US in 2017 after the release of their debut album, ‘Standing at the Edge of the World’. You can expect to hear music from their latest release, ‘New Signs of Life’, drawing inspiration from the likes of ‘The Teardrop Explodes’, ‘Echo & The Bunnymen’ and ‘Christian Death’ to name a few.
On Thursday 27th October both ‘Red Beard’ and ‘The Hooten Hallers’ will take the Loco Club stage. ‘Red Beard’ are a southern rock band who have made a name for themselves both nationally and internationally. ‘The Hooten Hallers’ are a blues/rock band from Missouri with a large variety of musical influences from rhythm and blues to punk. They are currently on a world tour of their latest album ‘Back in Business Again’.
On Friday 28th October, ‘German Salto’ and ‘Back to the Hills’ will play. German Salto’s latest project is a self-titled one consisting of Spanish lyrics and beautiful orchestral arrangements. ‘Back to the Hills’ began in Spain in 2019, made up of a Swede, an Englishman and three Spaniards based in Castellón who travel wherever the music takes them. Their latest album ‘The Ocean’ was released this year.
On Saturday 29th Ocotber, Sevillian group, ‘All La Glory’ and Valencian band, ‘Indian Hawk’ have been summoned for Fran De La Rosa’s ‘Birthday Party’, a celebration of his coming-out. Be there at 21:00h this Saturday for a celebration!
Nilüfer Yanya, a Valencian pop-rock artist will be playing Loco Club on Sunday 30th, joined by Léa Shen.
On Monday 31st October, Loco Club offer a Halloween special with a tribute to My Chemical Romance. ‘Members of Apsides’, ‘Abisme’, ‘Amanda Deveil’, ‘Bates Motel’, ‘Beer Brothers’, ‘Badlands’, ‘Cactus!’, ‘Crimentales’, ‘Crisis of Faith’, ‘Derry’, ‘Indian Hawk’, ‘Leicester Brawl’, ‘Flying Butter’, ‘Metadonna’, ‘Trading Licks’ and ‘Tin Robots’ come together for this evening to pay tribute to ‘My Chemical Romance’. All proceeds for this event will go to an Association for the Prevention of Suicide.
English Ska band ‘Bad Manners’ bring the party to Loco Club on Tuesday 1st November, kicking off the new month of music with a bang. Having kept the ska flame alive for over four decades, the band were instrumental in the style’s mid-’70s revival, alongside bands like ‘The Specials’, ‘Madness’, ‘The Beat’ and ‘The Selecter’, to name a few.
