In its third edition, the festival is consolidating its position as one of the summer cultural events in the city of Valencia and will host a wide range of musical genres from different geographical locations. The line-up includes international artists such as the Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice, the Mexican producer and disciple Mandragora, the Balkan group Dubioza Kolektiv and the French group Hilight Tribe.

On the other hand, Nits de Vivers will feature national performers such as Andrés Suárez, El Kanka, Iván Ferreiro, Ilegales, La M.O.D.A., Xoel López, Karmento, Karina y Marina, El Jose, Mercedes Cañas and the Balkan Paradise Orchestra. Finally, it is worth mentioning the presence of local performers such as Iñigo Soler, Volavent and Green Nomad.

In this way, Nits de Vivers maintains the same objective as in its first edition held in 2021: to become an attractive cultural proposal for the citizens of Valencia and its area of influence and also for those who visit us during the summer. The programme of the cycle

Nits de Vivers will begin on Wednesday 26 July with Damien Rice. The Irish singer-songwriter will arrive in Valencia as part of the Sailboat Tour, which has already toured Italy and will only make three stops in Spain (Valencia, Calella de Palafrugell and Madrid). One day later it will be Xoel López’s turn. The Galician vocalist and guitarist is one of the most solvent and representative artists on the Latin American independent scene. It is a recognition that he has earned after more than 20 years of career and songs written with creative freedom. In this case, the opening act will be the Valencian Iñigo Soler, who will present the songs from his album Cosas que decir a tiempo.

On Friday 28 July, the Iboga Party will be held with an eclectic line-up. The line-up includes the disc jockey and producer Mandragora, spearhead of futureprog, a genre of electronic dance music; Dubioza Kolektiv, a Bosnian band that mixes Balkan rhythms with ska, punk, reggae, electronica and rap; Hilight Tribe, representatives of natural trance by fusing the values of ancient tribes and civilisations with electronica; and the Balkan Paradise Orchestra, an octet of brass and percussion instruments inspired by the Balkans.

The first week of Nits de Vivers will close with two other evenings. First, El Kanka will perform in Valencia to present his latest album, Cosas de los vivientes. With this album, the Malaga-born singer returns to the stage after a year’s break. He has done so with a work that is sincere in its lyrics and more raw and organic in its sound. El Kanka will play on Saturday 29 July and will be preceded by El Jose, a singer-songwriter from Granada who will be performing Seguro de Na, and by Mercedes Cañas, a singer-songwriter from Madrid. On Sunday 30th, the stage of the Jardines de Viveros will be open to family audiences to welcome Karina and Marina and the show Teen Power. Singing, dancing, acrobatics, rhythmic gymnastics and a powerful visual proposal are the ingredients of this show.

Music will return to Nits de Vivers on Wednesday 2 August with La Maravillosa Orquesta del Alcohol. This group from Burgos that uses accordion, saxophone, banjo, mandolin and clarinet will perform songs from their most recent release, Nuevo cancionero burgalés, a work inspired by the popular repertoire of their homeland. The Castilians will be preceded by Volavent, an indie-pop sextet. On Thursday 3, Viveros will host Andrés Suárez and Karmento. The Galician musician returns to Valencia with a new album under his arm, Viaje de vida y vuelta, in which he has opted for optimism, humour and playfulness. On the other hand, Karmento moves between copla, flamenco, ethnic music and seguidillas manchegas. Their proposal reached the final of the Benidorm Fest for the election of the Spanish representative at the Eurovision Song Contest.

The performances will continue on Friday 4 August with Ilegales. This rock band is celebrating its 40th anniversary and the release of its latest album with unreleased songs, La lucha por la vida. For this reason, the Ilegales tour is a chance to revisit the best-known classics from the group’s extensive repertoire along with their new songs. The Asturians will be accompanied by the Valencians Green Nomad, an epic rock metal and folk band. Finally, vocalist Iván Ferreiro and his band will bring the festival to a close on Saturday the 5th. The Galician will take the opportunity to present his album Trinchera Pop, a work conceived from the use of toys and electronic devices to compose songs that delve into abstract ideas, metaphysics and philosophy.
