‘PANORAMA FLAMENCO’ IN VALENCIA… SANDRA CARRASCO AT ‘TEATRE TALIA’ NOVEMBER 17th

24/7 VALENCIA: COULD YOU TELL US MORE ABOUT SANDRA CARRASCO?

TEATRE TALIA: “Sandra Carrasco offers a recital of very particular songs, looking for hidden jewels that are not common in flamenco and bringing them up-to-date for these special times. She gives the songs life… and a new vision and freedom. After years of a musical career with a distinctive & open approach, she is re-discovering forgotten pieces & paving the way for a dynamic show for both flamenco fans and for those who do not know flamenco.

The singers she has chosen for this project, among others, are ‘Canalejas de Puerto Real’ and ‘Marchena’.

At the same time, this “El belingonero Flamenco” has an intriguing element where the artist tries to find with her travelling companion Paco Cruz, a bridge of fusion between Africa and Spain…. presenting a Spanish copla with some guitar arrangements that seem to be brought from the African continent.

This is a stimulating, modern, deep & attractive presentation of flamenco that at the same time refreshes our memory with songs that our parents or grandparents used to listen to on the radio. Fun for everyone who can enjoy the show, a flamenco recital in which you can even feel Sandra’s contact with jazz or world music.

The old becomes new, the old-fashioned becomes a trend, the simple and easy becomes complex, but at the same time, easy to enjoy and listen to. You cannot miss this show!”
