THE QUIQUE DACOSTA RESTAURANT IS LABELLED ‘ONE OF THE BEST 20 IN THE WORLD’

At the gala held at Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences, the renowned ‘World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ list recognised Quique Dacosta Restaurant as one of the top twenty globally. With three Michelin stars, the Spanish chef’s restaurant has significantly improved its ranking, climbing over twenty positions compared to last year. This achievement not only places Quique Dacosta Restaurant in a privileged position but also presents a valuable opportunity for the local region.

“I am very happy for this recognition, it is a source of pride for my team and for me to champion Spain and the Valencian Community among so many restaurants and colleagues from around the world whom I admire,” said the chef after learning of his twentieth position in the ranking. It is a recognition that makes the chef especially happy, who has achieved his best position in the list after 35 years of a professional career in the kitchen. “I have been fortunate to belong to the 50 Best family for more than fifteen years and we have always noticed the difficulty and the challenge of ordering the gastronomic world in a list of fifty positions. I am very grateful to all those people who visit us and consider that our work is interesting for the world.”

Dacosta also took the opportunity to congratulate all those restaurants that have made it onto the list: “For me, all the colleagues who are here today could very well occupy the number one spot, I congratulate them and especially Virgilio Martínez and Pía León for the exceptional work they do in Peru. All of them are undoubtedly great and inspiring”.

Just two weeks after learning that three Quique Dacosta Group restaurants have been positioned as 100 of the best in Europe according to Opinionated About Dining, the most prestigious list on the continent, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, has considered the Valencian chef’s flagship to be one of the best restaurants in the world.

Por Amor al Arte’, his gastronomic proposal for this year at Quique Dacosta Restaurant, is managing to captivate diners with its unique and professional execution. The chef, who has twelve restaurants in Madrid, London, Valencia and Denia, was recently awarded the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts for his contribution to Art through cuisine and has once again achieved a historic milestone in his career.
