THE VIII CULTURAL WEEK ‘THE WAY OF THE HOLY GRAIL’ BEGINS IN MASSAMAGRELL (VALENCIA COMMUNITY)

In an exciting and significant event that took place this past Monday 23rd October in the municipality of Massamagrell, the VIII CULTURAL WEEK THE WAY OF THE HOLY GRAIL was inaugurated. With great enthusiasm on the part of children and young people, Indiana Tours began the show ‘In search of the Holy Grail’ at 18h. The character of Indi (Jaco Müller) made an incredible presentation of the history of the Holy Chalice and his way through some daring tests of courage. The television channel 8 Mediterráneo was present during his performance and Alejandro Martínez Notte from the YouTube channel Teleaire.com.

At 19:30h, all the local corporation and members and supporters of the ‘Camino del Santo Graal’ made the official opening of this week via a speech. Undoubtedly, this cultural week is a tribute to the history and cultural richness that the Way of the Holy Grail has in its format of European Cultural Itinerary from Italy, specifically in Rome and Naples.

The inauguration was attended by prominent personalities, including the parish priest of Massamagrell, Don José Ribes Perea, Dr. Ana Mafé García, president of the Cultural Association The Way of the Holy Grail, and Miguel Bailach, councillor for tourism of the City Council of Massamagrell, as well as the mayoress Pilar Peris, Paco Gómez (former mayor) and members of the municipal corporation.

The celebration of this cultural week is a tribute to the importance of preserving and disseminating the cultural and spiritual heritage represented by the Way of the Holy Grail.

Throughout the week, attendees will be able to enjoy a unique exhibition showcasing the tireless work of the ‘Asociación Cultural El Camino del Santo Grial’ in researching and promoting this rich historical heritage.

Don José Ribes Perea, parish priest of Massamagrell, highlighted the relevance of this event by stating that “the Way of the Holy Grail is a spiritual treasure that has been part of the life of our community for centuries. This week is an opportunity to share its meaning and preserve it for future generations“.

Dr. Ana Mafé García, president of the Asociación Cultural El Camino del Santo Graal, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to share this history and knowledge with the community. “Our association is passionately dedicated to the research and promotion of the Way of the Holy Grail. This exhibition is the result of years of work and effort by all those who have gone before us, and we are delighted to share it with you all”.

Miguel Bailach, councillor for tourism at Massamagrell Town Hall, highlighted the importance of the rich cultural heritage in the municipality and the contribution of this cultural week to the diversity of experiences for visitors.

The VIII CULTURAL WEEK THE WAY OF THE HOLY GRAIL will take place from 23rd to 28th October and offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich history and spirituality surrounding the Holy Grail. The exhibition will be open to the public throughout the event, inviting everyone to explore this fascinating narrative.

In addition to the exhibition, which will be open to the public from 9am to 2pm and from 4pm to 9pm, the agenda of activities includes the following events:

Tuesday, 24 October.

10:00h Twinning of The Way of the Holy Grail with the Villa Cura Brochero in Córdoba, Argentina.

Round table: Dr. Gustavo Riveiro – Delegado Turismo CEE, María Teresa Puga Marín and Dr. Ana Mafé García.

Presence of municipal authorities and snacks.

Wednesday, 25th October.

16:00h Conference on the Holy Grail at the UJI of Castellón.

Thursday, 26th October.

19:00h Mass of the Holy Chalice in Valencia Cathedral.

Friday, 27th October.

20:00h Distribution of diplomas to the Guard of the Way of the Holy Grail in the Pedrera del Rey, Vilamarxant.

 Saturday, 28th October.

12:00h Theatre and dance play “The Way of the Holy Grail”.

Venue: Theatre of the Cultural Centre of Massamagrell.

19:00 h Pilgrim’s Mass on the Way of the Holy Grail.

Place: Massamagrell Church. Access to Plaza de Jesús.

21:00 h Dansà to the Holy Chalice, Way of the Holy Grail by LO DRAC ALAT in Plaza de la Reina, Valencia.

The Cultural Association ‘The Way of the Holy Grail’ invites all those who wish to discover, via the exhibition, all the work that is being carried out in Naples through the IVI Naples Team, directed by Salvatore Forte, to position the Way of the Holy Grail as a European Cultural Itinerary. There was an international meeting about the Holy Grail held in Rome, outside the walls of the Basilica of San Lorenzo, sponsored by Favio D’Ortona around San Lorenzo and the various confraternities and international associations linked to it. There, for yet another year, the importance of this saint in the story and safeguarding of the Holy Grail, the Holy Chalice of the Cathedral of Valencia, was explained too.
