VIOLINIST VASKO VASSILEV PLAYS ‘FUNDACIÓN BANCAJA’ ON 23 FEBRUARY!

La Fundación Bancaja is set to host an extraordinary musical event featuring Bulgarian violinist Vasko Vassilev in his captivating show, “Acoustic”. Scheduled for Friday, February 23, 2024, this performance promises an evening of unparalleled musical fusion at the auditorium in Valencia.

Accompanied by an ensemble of exceptionally talented musicians, including guitarist Carlos Llave, percussionist Juan Heredia, trumpeter Vicent Campos, and bandoneonist Gilberto Pereyra, Vassilev’s rendition of timeless compositions by renowned composers such as Albéniz, Bach, Chopin, Manuel de Falla, and Carlos Gardel is poised to mesmerise audiences.

Vasko Vassilev’s illustrious career is punctuated by numerous accolades, including top honours in international competitions. Having embarked on his musical journey at the age of 21, Vassilev has since graced prestigious venues across Europe and Asia. Notably, since 1991, he has held the esteemed position of principal concertmaster with the Royal Opera House Orchestra in Covent Garden, London.

Moreover, Vassilev’s artistic endeavours extend beyond orchestral performances. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has recorded albums for esteemed labels such as Trittico Classics, Harmonia Mundi, and Erato. Additionally, he is the visionary behind the “Laureate” String Orchestra, comprising musicians distinguished in international competitions.

Joining Vassilev on stage is a cadre of accomplished musicians. Guitarist Carlos Llave, recognized for his versatility and collaboration with esteemed artists, has contributed to over a hundred albums, earning nominations for prestigious awards like the Grammys. Percussionist Juan Heredia and trumpeter Vicent Campos, both seasoned performers, bring their unique flair and expertise to the ensemble, enriching the auditory experience.
