24/7 VALENCIA: Could you tell us more about William Shakesbeer?
WILLIAM SHAKESBEER: “William Shakesbeer is an online, secondhand, English bookstore, based in Valencia. It’s run by myself, Nic (Nicola) and my husband, Nick. I’m Irish/British and Nick is British. We wanted to make secondhand English books for adults and children available and affordable in Valencia. There’s a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction, for all ages. We also have a few brand-new books.
In the near future we aim to stock a great selection of craft beers; this is something we’re still working on. The plan last year was to have a physical shop in the city, then the pandemic happened…So for now we are online, while keeping the dream alive!
Delivery is by Correos, throughout Spain. In Valencia, clients can opt for free collection from our friend Daniel, who runs The Espanista on Calle Borrull, 11. This is not our shop/business, but Daniel kindly agreed to act as a pick up point for those who want to save on delivery costs. He also stocks a small selection of our books.”
