Laura Kasamayor exhibits a preview of her collection ‘Haikun & 17 Sdgs paintings‘ at the ‘Ateneo’ in the centre of Valencia. She is the artist responsible for first mural painted by a woman in the United Nations, and her project continues with a collection of 17 large format works. The Haikun mural has been on display at the UN Information and Communications Technology base in Valencia since 2017. The mural has been a key piece of the 10th anniversary of the base. The event focused on digital innovation and artificial intelligence and the Agenda for 2030 – a model of global action on the great problems of Humanity.

The plastic artist Laura Kasamayor presents a panorama of mixed techniques. The mixed media techniques communicate the diverse Agenda regarding the problems of Humanity. The project began in 2017, in the international organisation. The work is a graphic repertoire of the current vision on sustainable problems and particularly about the organisation of life.

The expressive nature of her artistic style and use of explosive techniques tell us about vivid experiences. As a practitioner of various disciplines in painting, Kasamayor uses metallic bases of iron, silver, gold, copper, bronze, which she combines and fuses with inks and varnishes. Her distinctive pieces use chemicals or materials as well as ‘chromatic’ techniques. These combinations create a palette which emulates nature in both process and imagery. The work introduces a topical discussion of the connection between Nature and technology, in which the materials are the forefront, bringing attention to both aesthetics and ethics too.
