BUT WAIT… DO YOU DANCE THE BLUES? Of course! In Valencia, there is a community of Blues dancers and ‘The Blues Café’ was born with the idea of bringing all those dancers together once a month and to dance to live music. If you have never danced ‘Blues’ don’t worry before the party, we always give a multilevel class, suitable for both for those who have never danced before, as well as for those who already dance. Come and enjoy the music and the unique atmosphere that will be created and we are sure that you will end up moving your body along with the others. The Blues community is very welcoming and you will go home with some new friends.
WHY DO YOU CHARGE ADMISSION? Because we value the work of the musicians. The money from the entrance fee goes to pay the musicians who play at our parties, to the venue that hosts us and to the DJs and teachers. We don’t earn anything as organizers; we just want the Blues Dance community in Valencia to grow.
WHO IS BEHIND ‘THE BLUES CAFÉ’? The party was created in 2018 by Adamo Ciarallo and Vicci Moore, great Blues dancers, organisers and key players in the international Blues Dance scene. Now, we have taken over. We are Andrea Liarco and Lucia Mendoza, local and international Blues dancers and teachers. We are also DJs and Andrea is a musician. We love the Blues in all its forms and we organise ‘The Blues Café’ to honour and spread it, as well as for people to enjoy it to the fullest 🙂
