GANDÍA GETS READY FOR THE YOLA A4+ REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Next Saturday, 11th of November, Gandia will welcome the Yola A4+ Regional Championship. About 140 athletes from the children, cadet, youth, and veteran categories are invited to a regatta that will be taking place in the inner area of Gandia’s port. Organised by the Rowing Federation of the Valencian Community, Yola A4+ is a very particular rowing modality in which four participants and a helmsman navigate each boat.

The regatta will begin at 9 o’clock in the morning and every age group will be participating. With the exception of the children’s teams, which will be navigating a distance of 500 metres, the rest of the groups will navigate 1000 metres and will have to tack three times. Five different clubs from the Valencian Federation will participate with a total of 28 teams. The most represented category is the female Cadet, with seven boats. The results in the categories organized in the qualifying format are determined by time.

Both the start and the end line will be placed inside of the Real Club Náutico Gandía, which will allow the audience to use the different location the port has to watch the regatta. The weather forecast for Saturday is great.

The participant clubs in the Yola A4+ Regional Championship are Club Náutico Alicante Costa Blanca, Real Club Náutico Calpe, Real Club Náutico Gandía, Real Club Regatas Alicante and Secció Esportiva Universitat d’Alacant.
