The Palau de les Arts closes this Friday, May 7, the cycle ‘Les Arts és flamenco’ with the performance of Niño de Elche at the Teatre Martín i Soler at 8.00 p.m.

Francisco Contreras Molina, artistically known as Niño de Elche, makes his debut at the Palau de les Arts with tickets sold out for days, except for the 5% of the capacity that, as stipulated by the regional law, is reserved for sale the same day of the show.

The revolutionary and multi-faceted artist closes the second edition of this monographic dedicated to cante jondo in its multiple ways, with which have paraded through Les Arts, throughout this season, some of the most outstanding voices of the genre like José Mercé, Duquende, La Macanita and Argentina.

A multidisciplinary artist, Niño de Elche has been able to combine in his varied artistic proposals disciplines such as flamenco, rock, contemporary music and dance, performance, sound installation, free improvisation, theatre and poetry.

In his visit to Les Arts, the cantaor from Elche presents ‘Antología del cante flamenco heterodoxo’ (Sony, 2018), a compendium of 27 pieces that reinvent the different palos: fandangos, farrucas, tanguillos, malagueñas, rumbas, saetas… through the particular prism of the artist, who was a musical ‘shock’ for the flamenco community.

Les Arts informs that, in the sessions with full capacity and with exclusive sale of 5%, the online sale ends at the opening time of the Les Arts box office channel, which this Friday will be from 11.00 am to 20.00 pm. The tickets have a single price of 30 euros.
