At this point we’ve learned; the biggest and best trends always include: Food and Fun. And the element of surprise? What if we said Utopick Chocolates has found a way to combine all of those factors into one perfect and tasty Falas activity? It’s true! And this is the type of trend you will absolutely want to hop onto. Utopick Chocolates’ ‘Bombetas PEIM!’are an explosion of flavour made into a form of evening entertainment. The small chocolate spheres come filled with either pop rocks, Cremaet, or an assortment of Liquor-based fillings, with either milk or dark chocolate shells. Liquor flavours include Licor de Arroz, Agua de València, and Bombeta de Mistel.

For some trendy fun, you can switch a couple of chocolates between the Liquor boxes and regular for an interesting game. Everyone in your group takes a chocolate and you must guess who gets the Liquor filled Bombeta, put on your poker face!

This month, a group of communications professionals came together at Utopicks location in Russafa to learn more. The evening began around 6:00pm when the team began introducing themselves and explaining how the next few hours would unfold.

After receiving hairnets and aprons, the group was given a tour of the Utopick retail and production facilities. We were able to see the chocolates’ original form before going into the professional mixer and then saw the machines in action as they consistently combined the ingredients.

When the group finally made their way to the back room, it was prepared with places and prepared chocolate shells for each guest to work with. Once learning how the mixtures were prepared in the kitchen, it was time to begin filling our own chocolates. Without much experience, this demonstrated a relatively messy task, only further proving the careful skills of Utopicks’ team.

Once filled, we were introduced to a machine which provided a stream of dark and tempered chocolate…one might call it a “Willy Wonka water fall” of sorts. Guests were given a piping liner of this new chocolate each, which was then poured into top moulds and pressed onto the open Bombetas. After some careful garnishing, everyone’s pieces were set aside to be cooled during the next part of the evening.

Proceeding back to the front of the shop, guests were presented with an array of treats from Utopicks collection. From chocolate-covered coffee beans to their specialty Bunyol D’or.
