On 17 November 2023, The Valencian Society of Agriculture and Sport (RSVAD) held the 5th Edition of the Illustrious Awards that recognise the important work of companies and institutions in support of agriculture and sport. This year the Casino de Agricultura awarded merits to Valencia Basket femenino, the Escuela de Capataces de Catarroja, the children of San Vicente, Patatas Aguilar and Asfplant.
The awards were presented at an institutional ceremony, it began with a welcome from the president of the Casino de Agricultura, Manuel Sánchez Luengo, followed by Yuri Aguilar who is a member of Social Correspondence. The awards aim to recognise the work of professionals, researchers and entrepreneurs who dedicate their lives with enthusiasm to the search for development opportunities, in order to provide a better service to society. They bring attention to the importance of agriculture, building relationships between the academic and business worlds, promoting cooperation, competitiveness and progress.
The Casino de Agricultura has always promoted Valencian agricultural interests through different activities. The illustrious awards, however, were born only five years ago with the aim of highlighting the value of agriculture in its different aspects.
