TOULOUSE PROMOTES ‘THE WAY OF THE HOLY GRAIL’ AS A EUROPEAN CULTURAL ITINERARY

On Tuesday 16 May, more than a hundred people gathered at the Amphitheatre H of the ‘Toulouse 1 Capitole University’ of  France to attend a conference on the journey of the Holy Grail. The master class was entitled “The Path of the Holy Grail, Route of Knowledge, Path of Peace as a European Cultural Itinerary” and was presented by Dr. Ana Mafé García, president of the Cultural Association The Way of the Holy Grail, and Ms. Nathalie Kohl, Master in European Law at the University of Paris XI.

During the conference, Dr. Mafé shared knowledge on the journey the Holy Grail is believed to have taken before finally arriving in Valencia’s Cathedral, linking a history between cities such as Jerusalem, Rome, Naples and Toulouse with Valencia. The aim was to highlight the historical and cultural importance of the route, as well as its potential to promote peace between European countries.

The audience consisted of academics, students and history enthusiasts who were interested in the path of the Holy Grail. The talk ended with a question and answer session, where attendees had the opportunity to interact with both speakers and deepen their knowledge about the Way of the Holy Grail.

The conference is expected to be one of the many cultural activities that the university will organise in the future, to promote awareness and knowledge about the cultural heritage and history of Europe.

Plans are underway for this to obtain the European Cultural Route accreditation and to be submitted to the Council of Europe, an organisation whose main objective is the protection of human rights, democracy and the rule of law in Europe which includes all the countries of the European Union.
