Spain Sail Grand Prix brings the world’s fastest sailing to La Marina this weekend!

Valencia is about to become the centre of the sailing world as the Spain Sail Grand Prix makes its spectacular debut in the city on September 5 and 6.

Forget everything you thought you knew about traditional sailing.

SailGP is sailing at extraordinary speed, with high-tech F50 foiling catamarans capable of reaching speeds of more than 100 km/h as they race just above the surface of the Mediterranean.

And this weekend, the action comes to Valencia.

The Spain Sail Grand Prix | Valencia will bring international teams to the city’s waterfront on Saturday September 5 and Sunday September 6, adding another major international sporting event to Valencia’s already impressive calendar.

For Valencia, however, this is about more than just two days of racing. The city is establishing itself as a regular SailGP destination, with a multi-year agreement that will keep the competition coming back to the city.

SPEED ON THE WATER

SailGP is often described as one of the world’s most exciting sailing competitions — and once you see the F50 boats in action, it is easy to understand why.

These spectacular foiling catamarans rise above the water on their hydrofoils and can reach extraordinary speeds.

WHAT TO EXPECT
