WHAT’S HAPPENING IN VALENCIA THIS WEEKEND…

This weekend, spring gradually murmurs, but is still sadly asleep. Fear not! Sunny weather is forecasted for Sunday, a small glimmer of hope through a long winter. Regardless of the weather, cast your eyes towards this weekend’s delicacies in Valencia.

Art!  The Fundación Bancaja continues its exhibition of impressionist painter Sorolla. With his original works on display, one can also see a photography exhibition of photographs taken around the time of his life, offering a contextual portal to the Spain he lived in for the viewer to transport themselves to and understand his art on a deeper level. – For photography lovers, a new exhibition has opened this week at the Agfoval headquarters, consisting of 25 photographs of varying themes. Free entry. – https://www.agfovalweb.es/exposiciones

Music! – Valencian psychedelic folk rock band ‘Shake’ will be playing at the ’16 Toneladas’ Rock Club on 20 January, returning from the ether after breaking up in 2009 after the release of their Second LP ‘Twilight Sleep’. €12 entry.-https://www.16toneladas.com/events/event/shake/

– A laid back Sunday may look like seeing the female flamenco group ‘Almas Flamencas’ at ‘La Fábrica de Hielo’ at 15:30h.
