The Waterboys, with Scotsman Mike Scott at the helm, released their self-titled debut in the summer of 1983, exactly 35 years ago.

During all this time, the singer and composer has continued to explore the path of a most distinctive pop-rock sound that is reminiscent of British & Irish folk. In their own way, they have given us jewels such as ‘All the Things She Gave Me’, ‘The Whole of the Moon’ or ‘Fisherman’s Blues’, and more recent ones like ‘November Tale’, ‘Beautiful Now’ or ‘If the Answer Is Yeah!’ The latter is part of the repertoire of the album Out of All This Blue (BMG), published last September, where the group has made incursions into rhythm & blues and funk.

The same Mike Scott has ensured that next Monday, July 23, will be a very special night in Valencia, one of the most significant cities in the history of the band.

On this occasion, the supporting artists will be the Valencian Néstor Rausell and Los Impostores. This local band will perform their rock with a Latin flavor, influenced by bands such as Los Rodríguez, M-Clan or Héroes del Silencio.
