Founded by passionate bike mechanic Luca, who fell in love with the city of Valencia and its year-round cycling weather, ‘Bike in Mind’ is a bike rental company based in the iconic centre of the Ruzafa neighbourhood.

The best part of ‘Bike in Mind’ is their variety of lightweight bicycles. If you have a smaller budget, the Basic City Bike will get you where you need to go. If you want a premium bicycle that looks great for Instagram, the Dutch-style Premium City Bike with its beautiful, muted colours is the one for you. If you want to travel further distances without aching muscles the next day, their e-bike has a 14-hour battery and a range of 44 miles – enough to take you to L’Albufera for paella and back in one day. If you’re a sporty type, or you want a comfortable seat, Bike in Mind has two wheels with your name on it.

Their range of different bicycles are checked by a mechanic daily, and each bicycle always includes a free helmet, basket, phone holder, lock, and kid’s seat. If you’re worried about bike damage or want some extra security, there are very reasonably priced road assistance and damages insurance packages. For as little as €1.50 per bike per day, you can even share your location via WhatsApp and have someone from ‘Bike in Mind’ assist you with a mechanic breakdown or puncture.

All information is available in English, and there are plenty of maps to help you plan your journey. Later this year, Bike in Mind will release their own downloadable cycling guide, so you can breeze along the best routes out of Valencia’s 160km of cycle paths while using their handy phone holder.
