‘CARNIVAL RUSSAFA’ ON APRIL 30th!

Thousands of people will fill the streets of Ruzafa with music and colour with its great carnival!

The Ruzafa neighbourhood of Valencia hosts this coming Saturday 30 April, between 17:00h and 22:00h, the great Carnival of Russafa, which celebrates its XII edition in 2022.

Ruzafa Carnival fills the streets of Valencia with colour: in the Ruzafa Carnival of 2022 next Saturday 30 April there will be 17 musical societies from Valencia, 30 batucadas, associations and social movements, and 30 artistic groups of traditional dance, comparsas and fraternities from countries such as Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, Bolivia, Mali, Honduras, Chile and Peru. Thus, without leaving Russafa, you can visit places in America, Africa and Europe, to the rhythm of their music and traditional cultural expressions.

The great parade will make the audience vibrate thanks to the numerous festive rhythms that will take place during the day, which will have the following itinerary: departure from Granero Park; Calle Filipinas; Calle Literato Azorín; Calle Sueca; Calle Dénia; and ending in Pintor Gisbert Street.

The Russafa Carnival aims to bring citizens closer to the cultural wealth of the countries of origin of immigrants through a parade that runs through the main streets of the Russafa neighbourhood.

It is considered to be the best and most multitudinous carnival in the capital, full of music, colour and festive coexistence between different groups of different nationalities, thus promoting coexistence between the different cultures living in the city and the vindication of social rights.
