CHEF QUIQUE DACOSTA IS VOTED BEST BUSINESSPERSON OF SPANISH RESTAURANTS & CATERING

##The Royal Academy of Gastronomy recognizes Quique Dacosta,  the chef with three Michelin stars, coinciding with the recent tenth anniversary of the founding of the Quique Dacosta Group with headquarters in the Valencian Community and an eye on the international scene.

Quique Dacosta Restaurant (3 Michelin stars), ‘El Poblet’ (1 Michelin star), ‘Carolina’, ‘Llisa Negra’, ‘Mercatbar’, ‘Quique Dacosta Catering and Events’, and rice restaurant  ‘Arros QD’ – now firmly established in the heart of London – are the gastronomic concepts in which the chef with his team currently works.

“The group was born in difficult socio-economic circumstances but since then we have not stopped growing. And we promise not to rest on our laurels,” assured the chef after this recognition.

In the last couple of years, the chef has launched two large projects. ‘Arros QD’ – an exclusive restaurant that has rice as a common thread, opened in the heart of London and ‘Quique Dacosta Catering and Events’ – a gastronomic proposal that in addition to travelling throughout Spain has a unique space in the Valencia region called ‘Flora, Fauna y Primavera’ with a capacity of up to 800 people-, joins ‘El Poblet’ (1 Michelin star), ‘Carolina’, ‘Llisa negra’ and ‘Mercatbar’ – concepts that arrived to enrich the gastronomic offer of Valencia -, and ‘Quique Dacosta Restaurant’ – flagship of the group and world-wide creative reference. It is therefore a young and consolidated company in continuous growth in which currently work about 200 people.

Dacosta has become a reference of gastronomy at an international level, highlighting the creativity and vanguard outlook of his vision regarding cuisine. In this sense, in recent years he immersed himself on a European tour in which he cooked with some of the most important chefs worldwide. In addition, he opened a new pop-up at the Palazzo Versace Hotel in Dubai, where he travelled to offer a very exclusive gastronomic proposal. Dacosta has turned his restaurant with three Michelin stars into an international benchmark of haute cuisine, positioned in the top positions of the most important lists in the world, such as ‘Opinionated About Dining’ (OAD), which places Quique Dacosta Restaurant in the last five years as one of the top ten of Europe, having occupied the number one ranking for two consecutive seasons.

The chef also stands out for his work as an ambassador for Action Against Hunger, and collaborates with other charitable causes such as the ‘Restaurants Against Hunger’ campaign with the objective of raising funds against child malnutrition. In recent years, the consolidation of its brand has made companies of great international relevance such as Porcelanosa, Arcos, Breitling, or Nespresso, among others, to have trusted the chef to star in their advertising campaigns.

He has published several books including “Arroces contemporáneos”, “3”, “De tapas con Quique Dacosta”. The road continues…
