ENJOYING COFFEE AND MORE AT ‘CASA RAIZ’

Rise and shine Valencia! The aroma of new speciality coffees creeps out of the doors of ‘Casa Raiz’ onto the street, carrying you into the new coffee shop that has just opened in Ruzafa. Once the first coffee has been drunk, Casa Raiz sets itself up as a place for meeting new people, winding down with baked goods alongside books or vinyl, pending your mood.

Started on the 6th March by Alejandra Villella Seijas, Casa Raiz aims to exemplify the spirit of Ruzafa that was shown to the young Argentinian and will offer various workshops within the arts and pottery. Set to the backdrop of dulcet tones and tasteful courtyard of interior plants, Casa Raiz offers itself as a change from the traditional café of Spain, emblematic of the new changes in taste and culture that is sweeping through Ruzafa as each year passes for the à la mode person to enjoy a variety of delicious pastries, sandwiches and artisanal ice creams.

Seijas has made sure coffee is the root of this exemplified tree of caffeine for the lover of coffee to feel at home. The head barista is Fede Duronio with a long and illustrious career and he will be guiding you on their finely curated blends, having looked across many different varieties and national roasters for the right blend for Casa Raiz.
