In order to tackle the high demand during the summer months. Baleária has expanded its connections between the port of Dénia and Ibiza by introducing two more boats during the summer months.
In addition to the usual service between Dénia-Ibiza-Palma with the fast ferry Eleanor Roosevelt, the shipping company has scheduled a fast daily connection between the port of Dénia and Ibiza with the fast ferry Jaume I and a departure from Monday to Thursday on the Zaza ferry. Meaning the company now offers between two to three connections a day to the Pitiusa island from Dénia. Making it more convenient than ever to travel from port to port!
Jaume I departures:
- 9 am from the port of Dénia
- 9 pm from the port of Ibiza.
Zaza ferry departures:
- Dénia at 11:00 p.m
- Ibiza at 1:30 p.m
Baleària is the leading shipping group in Spain with almost 25 years of history in the maritime transport of passengers, vehicles and goods, with routes that connect the Spanish mainland with the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla on a daily basis. It is also the only shipping company that connects the four islands of the Balearic archipelago. Internationally, it operates in North Africa (Morocco and Algeria), the south of France and links the United States and the Bahamas.
The shipping company is a worldwide benchmark in sustainability thanks to its pioneering commitment to eco-efficient mobility driven by cleaner and more environmentally friendly energies, such as natural gas, with the aim of making progress in decarbonisation. Baleària has some thirty ships, nine of which form part of a fleet prepared to sail on natural gas and which exemplifies the company’s energy transition. Under the slogan ‘Green Course’, the shipping company shares its commitment to the environment and its participation in projects linked to the use of renewable energies, such as green hydrogen or biomethane, with the aim of achieving zero-emission shipping by 2050.
Innovation is the key to the shipping company’s identity and leadership. Baleària is developing projects that place digitalisation and technology at the service of the customer: it has a fleet of smart ships that offer a more complete and personalised experience and exploits the capabilities of big data to become a data-driven company, among other initiatives.
Baleària is a local shipping company with an international vocation, made up of more than 1,600 people, including land and fleet staff. The impact of the shipping company also extends through the Baleària Foundation, through which the company organises and promotes social, cultural and environmental actions in order to boost the development of the territories it links and improve the well-being of their inhabitants.
