The Valencian community takes the spotlight in the latest Mahou Cinco Estrellas campaign, which can now be seen across all channels with a wide national reach through television and digital media. Since 2018, Mahou has proudly held the title of being the most awarded Spanish beer range in the world. This international recognition speaks volumes about their brewing expertise, exceptional taste, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
The new Mahou Cinco Estrellas advertisement portrays everyday encounters with friends, family, and teammates. It also showcases established Valencian teams such as the Real Club Náutico de Valencia rowing and the Muixeranga de Castelló forming human towers, plus a family gathering around a paella, a group of firefighters, and the Olímpico Madrid football team. The advert beautifully illustrates Mahou’s role as a facilitator of connections with others, becoming an integral part of our daily lives that strengthens our relationships.
Juan Pedrayes, the drummer of the band Carolina Durante, takes centre stage in the ad. “Sometimes, during a gig, I think about how I would feel if instead of being here, I were alone, three metres in front of them. Then I look at them and think about how it all started. I think about how when I chose the drums, I chose to be with them…” shares the drummer. The pop-rock band from Madrid is depicted in various scenarios: rehearsing, travelling in a caravan, enjoying Mahou Cinco Estrellas in a bar and performing a concert in front of a massive audience.
Furthermore, the campaign features a soundtrack provided by the band themselves, who have created an exclusive version of Amaral’s legendary song “Marta, Sebas, Guille y los demás,” originally released in 2005.
“Our aim with this campaign is to highlight the importance of feeling connected to our loved ones, to feel a sense of belonging to something greater than ourselves. For over 130 years, Mahou has been promoting shared experiences – those moments that strengthen our bonds,” emphasises Angélica Hernández, Global Brand Director of Mahou, underscoring Mahou’s role in enhancing enjoyable experiences with friends and family.
Developed by the &Rosás agency, the campaign was directed by AG Rojas, a renowned international filmmaker known for producing major campaigns and directing music videos for top international artists.
Mahou has a strong association with the Valencian Community, supporting numerous leisure and beer culture experiences while championing the music and artistic scene. An example of this is the brand’s presence at celebrations and major events such as the Fallas in Valencia or the Bonfires of San Juan.
