Renowned chefs and restaurants from Valencia take part in the Love to Rock festival

Renowned chefs and restaurants from Valencia take part in the Love to Rock festival on 14th and 15th October in the Marina de València. The festival presents the Love Food Experience brand in 2022 as a proposal to integrate haute cuisine into a musical event. The chefs Germán Carrizo, Vicente Patiño, Sergio Giraldo and Alejandro Platero will take part. In addition, there will be leisure and sports activities, and a full programme for family audiences.

The Love to Rock festival in the Marina de València is taking a step forward in its 2022 edition to offer attendees a unique gastronomic experience with the participation of some of the city’s most renowned chefs. Thus, in addition to the musical experience of a line-up featuring top artists such as Izal, Zahara, Xoel López, Elyella, Karavana, or the Valencians La Habitación Roja and La Fúmiga, this year the Love Food Experience will be added, which is made up of a full programme of show cooking and culinary tastings.

The exhibitions will begin on Friday 14 October, from 20:00h, with the chef Germán Carrizo, who will develop a proposal of grilled cuisine that finds inspiration in his native Argentina and which has the collaboration of Maillard, a leading company in the distribution of charcoal in haute cuisine. In the heart of Ruzafa, Germán Carrizo has managed in little more than five years to make Fierro restaurant one of the gastronomic temples of the city, winner of a Michelin Star in 2022.

On Saturday 15 October, at noon, there will be a show cooking with rice tasting by Alejandro Platero, one of the chefs who has innovated the most in contemporary cuisine, renewing the concept of quality streetfood. He is known for being a finalist in the third edition of the TV programme Top Chef and for having led several gastronomic projects in the city (Platero Utopic Food, Platero Studio, Mulandhara Restauración, etc.).

On the evening of the same day, the big show cooking party is scheduled to take place with the participation of the aforementioned Germán Carrizo, as well as Vicente Patiño, winner of two Repsol Suns at the helm of his restaurant Saiti and renowned for his in-depth knowledge of traditional cuisine. Sergio Giraldo, winner of a Repsol Sun and chef of the restaurant Señuelo, will also be there, with a menu centred on seafood and traditional Valencian recipes filtered through his personal filter.

This is a clear commitment to pairing experiences so that festival-goers can enjoy a high-level gourmet offer that is completed with a gastronomic area of food trucks offering the public a wide variety of products.

Love Kids: a space for families
In addition to the leisure and sports offer of last year’s edition, and given the large participation of family audiences at Love to Rock, this year the festival has reserved a special area for parents and children. Thus, the Love Kids Space will have a team of monitors where families can relax and have fun with games and recreational activities during the musical event.
