Valencia celebrates the Conference ‘The Way of the Holy Grail, Route of Knowledge, Way of Peace’ with the support of the Rotary Club Palma Mediterránea.
On the 18th and 19th of April 2024, the first edition of the conference, “The Way of the Holy Grail, Route of Knowledge, Way of Peace,” took place in Valencia, sponsored by the Palma Mediterranea Rotary Club. The Way of The Holy Grail Cultural Association have paralleled The Way of the Holy Grail to the popular Camino de Santiago, and believe it has the potential to become a European Cultural Itinerary which will unite people in a journey of peace and knowledge, whilst simultaneously promoting sustainable tourism. This conference aimed to further promote the culturally and spiritually significant walking route, alongside strengthening cultural ties between Mallorca and Valencia.
Coordinated by Isabel Cervelló from Valencia, activities of the conference included various meetings focused on the Holy Grail in Valencia, and visits to places of heritage interest in the city. Jesús Martínez, ex-governor and current advisor, proposed a monolith indicating the beginning of the Hispanic route of The Way of the Holy Grail. Furthermore, Associations of Friends of the Way of the Holy Grail, Grail Route and Territory is developing a very interesting itinerary incorporating the “Route of Salvation” into the main Aragonese axis. Dr. Ana Mafé García, a significant figure in promoting this cultural project, gave a talk on Thursday 18 April on the Holy Chalice and its protohistory, exploring its links with the Way of the Holy Grail.
Dr. Mafé expressed her sincere thanks for the initiatives proposed for the development of the Holy Grail Route in both the Balearic Islands and Somport and received the club’s insignia from its president Margarita Ques.
